SOFA SLEEPERS

Sofa Sleepers are a very sensible space saving solution when additional seating and sleeping are required. Here are a few points to help you narrow your search.

Contemporary Casual – These new generation sofa sleepers are great for space saving and guest sleep use. They are very simple in construction. One minute you are sitting on the sofa, the next you merely fold the back down and prepare the bed. There is no unfolding or removing of components. Because they are beds, they are typically firm and do not have a lot of upholstery padding …yet they are not expensive. They come in full size sleeping area (54” x 75”). They are typically contempory in design and great for apartments, bedroom/dens, family rooms, studios etc. They range in price from $380-$500.

Conventional – These sofa sleepers utilize quality cushions and arm designs and look like other sofas and couches. The seat cushions must be removed, then the bed unfolds into a sleeping bed. Mattresses are low profile (4:” thick innerspring) Conventional sofa sleepers come in two sizes, full and queen. The sizes are a little different than regular mattress and bedding. (For example, the queen is 75” long.) However, a full size fitted sheet fits well on these low profile 4” queen mattresses most of the time. They come in many designs and fabrics. These sleepers are good for occasional use. They range in price from $800-$1000.

World Class Fabric – We are especially proud to carry a revolutionary line of sofa sleepers from AU called the “Day and Night”. This sofa sleeper appears to be a regular sofa, but has an extraordinary size mattress. (Regular bed sizes). The patented sleeper does not use any steel bars that leave a lasting impression in your back after you sleep on them. It has high quality materials and is very durable. This sleeper is suitable for use every night. It is firm, but can be made a little softer with a topper pad. The product comes in five sizes and different arm/cushion designs.
